  • 4 potatoes (two to two and a half pounds) peeled and cut into large chunks
  • Salt
  • 5 to 6 tablespoon of unsalted butter (this is the minimum amount)
  • 3 lightly packed cups of chopped kale, cabbage, chard, or other leafy green
  • 3 green onions (including the green onion greens), minced (about half cup)
  • 1 cup milk
  • Or Cream


  • The first thing which you need to do is make a big pot to add the peeled potatoes to it with some water.


  • Now add 2 tablespoons of salt to it and start boiling it after covering it with a lid. Boil them properly for 15 to 20 minutes.


  • Take a frying pan and place it on a gas stove. Let it get a little warm. Then add some butter to it. When butter gets melted then add the chopped kale, cabbage, chard, or other leafy green to it.


  • Now cook then on medium flame till they get cooked properly.

  • After mixing all the things add salt and taste the dish. Add some extra salt or spices if you feel they are less.
